Update on Chepang Shelter Project, Lamjung 2

Shanti update

Shanti is developing into a very confident and interesting young lady. She has recently completed her Grade 5 and now promoted to Grade 6. Her teachers are happy with her efforts at school and she came 1^st in her class recently with 84%. Shanti is very good at badminton and enjoyed playing for her school in March.  In the badminton competition she came 1^st. She also enjoys running and came 2^nd in a relay race and 1^st in short distance running for Maybert School.  Shanti is very good at dance and performed for the school for parent's day and teacher's day.  Shanti has stated that when she is older she would like to be a teacher.

 

Sarita Magar update

Sarita is a very inelegant and decent girl. She is currently promoted to grade 4. She secured first position in her class. After her mother death, her older sister is taking care her. According to her sister she is very gentle at home. MySmallHelp is very happy to see her improvement and dedication towards study.

Bipana Thapa's update

Bipana Thapa is one of the brilliant students we have. She successfully completed Grade 9 in first division and now promoted to Grade 10. This is the last year for schooling and she will attend SLC (School Leaving Certificate) exam. After Grade 10 she will join college. Her school team is very happy to have her for her academic excellence and also very active in non-academic activities. Her favourite sports in Basketball and plays with her friends in her school. She is also very well behaved and so far no any complain from the school.

Bipana and her younger brother Saroj were brought to Kathmandu about a year back to provide better education for their future. They are now staying in the hilly, peaceful area near by the school. They all live in one large room and cook in one corner. Our MySmallHelp, volunteer Binod has been looking after them.
